ascend_ref): set when you arrive through a referral link, so that a referral can be correctly attributed if you later sign up. It stores only an opaque referral code, never any personal or identifying information, and it expires after 30 days.

These help us understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. We use them subject to your choices.
- PostHog (hosted in the EU): privacy-conscious product analytics that records how features are used, in aggregate, so we can see what works and what needs improving.
5. Error monitoring
These help us detect and fix problems so the platform stays reliable.
- Sentry (hosted in the EU): error monitoring and diagnostics, which captures technical details when something goes wrong so we can investigate and fix it.
6. How to control cookies
